Sector Coupling Structures

As decarbonisation advances, the proactive management of Interfaces between the Power System and other sectors becomes an increasingly critical part of enabling a more flexible and adaptive Grid.  Examples of various sector couplings include:

  1. Electricity and gas sectors;
  2. Electricity and industrial processes;
  3. Electricity and transport;
  4. Electricity and building services;
  5. Electricity and water systems;
  6. Power System and ICT technologies; and,
  7. Electricity and the emerging Green Hydrogen sector.

Given the fast-evolving nature of power system transformation, the Future Grid Accelerator (FGA) has the status of a perpetual BETA version. Your suggestions for how each concept and definition may be enhanced are very welcome.

All feedback will be reviewed and considered for inclusion in subsequent updates.
