Peer-to-peer Trading

The buying and selling of energy between two or more grid-connected parties through a virtual market. Consumers can manage price and volume risk themselves and gain access to additional financial and no-financial benefits. This allows consumers to make savings on the premium charged by an Energy Retailer, have increased awareness and control of their consumption and have less exposure to market volatility.

Given the fast-evolving nature of power system transformation, the Future Grid Accelerator (FGA) has the status of a perpetual BETA version. Your suggestions for how each concept and definition may be enhanced are very welcome.
