Energy Resource

A universal term for all technologies that provide one or several of the Electric Products required by the Power System and includes:

  1. Conventional Synchronous Generation;
  2. Utility-scale Variable Renewable Energy (VRE);
  3. Distributed Energy Resources (DER/CER); and,
  4. Various forms of Energy Storage and Firming Resources

Given the fast-evolving nature of power system transformation, the Future Grid Accelerator (FGA) has the status of a perpetual BETA version. Your suggestions for how each concept and definition may be enhanced are very welcome.
